Seven members: Six geologists with the State Geologists as ex-officio, and one public member

Requirements:

Education: Degree in geology, engineering geology or geological engineering with a major in either of those subjects and 45 quarter hours of geology courses, 36 of  these hours in the third or fourth year or on the graduate level; or equivalent semester hours
Experience: Seven years with a minimum of three years experience under registered geologist supervision or other, as board would accept. Each year of undergraduate study counts as one-half year experience, not to exceed two years and each graduate year counts as one year experience not to exceed two years, for a total of four years
Exam: ASBOG®
First ASBOG® Exam: April 1996
