Board Composition:

Thirteen-member Board that includes one geologist, three professional engineers, three architects, two land surveyors, one landscape architect, one professional engineer/land surveyor and two public members.

Requirements:

Education:

Graduate of a course of study in geology or equivalent four-year curriculum with at least 30 semester hours of geology

Experience:

Four years of supervised experience, shortened to three years with a Master's Degree in geology

Exam: ASBOG®
First ASBOG® Exam: September 2000
Continuing Education:

Thirty (30) professional development hours are required for each two-year renewal period.

Grandfathering:

Expired July 1, 2000

Cooperative Licensure - (Comity/Reciprocity):

Applicants must meet the Kansas regulations which were in place on the date that they received their original license.
